Wine Enthusiast - Buying Guide August/2012

New review and quality award to Teresa Raiz Pinot Grigio, Pinot Grigio Le Marsure and Ribolla Gialla Sparkling.

The famous magazine Wine Enthusiast, known for its objectivity and for the precious advices of its Buying Giude, rewards once more the commitment of Paolo Tosolini and of his family's winery, Teresa Raiz. At page 51 and 52 of the Buying Guide, Monica Larner underlines as follows the structure of our Pinot Grigio Teresa Raiz and the evolution of our Pinot Grigio Le Marsure over the years.

89 Points Teresa Raiz 2010 Pinot Grigio (Colli Orientali del Friuli). There’s a rich, thick quality to this Italian Pinot Grigio, giving it heft and determination on the palate. Melon, apricot, honey and cantaloupe give momentum to its soft, creamy texture.

88 Points Teresa Raiz 2010 Le Marsure Pinot Grigio (Venezia Giulia). Le Marsure has shown a long and consistent evolution over the past few vintages. This food-friendly expression shows full and ripe tones of melon, apricot, honey and yellow rose.

87 Points Teresa Raiz Ribolla Gialla Sparkling Brut. Made with Ribolla Gialla, this shows simple perlage followed by plush aromas of yellow fruit, melon and fresh citrus. The unique grape variety used lends a sensation of structure and firmness.
