Robert Parker's reviews December/2013
Four new reviews by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - Monica Larner.
Wine journalist of the famous guide "The Wine Advocate" Monica Larner reviews four wines of the 2012 vintage:
87 points 2012 Teresa Raiz Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano.
The 2012 Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano shows anadded layer of sophistication that comes thanks to the varietal characteristics of crushed stone and pear that are typical of the Friulano grape. The mouth-feel is silky and smooth with chiseled mineral sharpness on the medium finish. Drink: 2014-2015.
86 points 2012 Teresa Raiz Friuli Colli Orientali PinotGrigio.
The 2012 Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio is a streamlined and simple wine with straightforward aromas of stone fruit, honeydew melon, dried herb and white rose. It makes a good choice for afternoon lunches with curry chicken salad or smoked salmon. Drink: 2014-2015.
85 points 2012 Teresa Raiz Pinot Grigio le Marsure.
The 2012 Pinot Grigio Le Marsure shows easy, grassy tones with loads of bright citrus on the close. The wine is simple and straightforward with one-dimensional tones of peach, crushed mineral and a distant accent of dried mint or ginger. Drink: 2013-2014.
85 points 2012 Teresa Raiz Friuli Colli Orientali Ribolla Gialla.
The 2012 Friuli Colli Orientali Ribolla Gialla is one of the most streamlined and neutral expressions of Ribolla Gialla that you will find on
the market today. The grape normally adds all sorts of oxidized aromas of butterscotch and caramel although in this case you never get sight of those characteristics. Instead, it offers thin layers of stone fruit, pear and white melon. Drink: 2014-2015.
